Cedric Dukes and his family have successfully learned how to take over their finances by following the principles outlined in this book. Along with being a devoted husband and father, Cedric serves actively at his church as an ordained deacon which requires, as a matter of creed, to live a life of applying the Word of God in every area and not to be envious or greedy. On New Year’s Eve of 2006, Cedric became convicted by the Holy Spirit of God to write a book on finance. The Spirit of God brought to his remembrance in Matthew 11:12, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
God began to show him that finances are to be taken over with aggression. Christians are to be the rulers of finances not finances ruling over them. The Spirit of God revealed that finances must be taken over in a hostile nature, which means one must study, research, and know every movement of finances. He has seen and experienced how finances can
hold a person hostage.
Cedric wrote this book because he was frustrated with the fact that most financial books did not talk about the biblical principles of finances. His purpose for writing the book was not to contradict the worldly principles of finances, but to enhance these principles which originated from the Word of God. He wanted to show how giving, not saving or spending is the most important act of a person in their finances. Acts 20:35 states, “…how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” He and his family have experienced the blessings of God because of their obedience to the biblical principles. This book merges the biblical principles of money with everyday finances. Every increase in their finances is the result of a biblical principle that was followed.
Cedric has a burning desire to share God’s principles not his–on how to takeover your finances. Christians are given a charge by God to be fruitful, to multiply and to have dominion. Following these principles will allow the reader to take over their finances the way God intended and indeed become blessed to be a blessing.
